Embossing

Impression that’s most engrossing

Embossing produces raised alphanumeric characters on a card, which are subsequently layered with colour for better legibility and card’s effective appearance. This process is called tipping and is available in black, white, silver or golden colour. The three-dimensional effect created by embossing is primarily used for various payment cards but may as well be used for loyalty, membership, business or ID cards.

Embossing can be manufactured in two font sizes – 3 mm or 5 mm with up to 29 signs on a line. Because of the indentation, embossing may be applied only to one side of the card but the reverse side may include a signature panel or a magnetic stripe to complement the card’s security.
